COMPLETING THE NON-RESIDENT APPLICATION PROCESS

You understand and agree that the Maine Concealed Certificate of Completion is not a license or permit to carry a concealed weapon. You understand non-residents must apply to the Maine State Police and pay any applicable fee charged by the Maine State Police and satisfy all requirements to be issued a Maine concealed handgun permit. The Maine State Police require non-residents to submit:

1. Completed Concealed Handgun Permit application.

2. Completed Authority and Authorization to Release Information forms.

3. Money order or cashier’s check in the amount of $60 made payable to “Treasurer, State of Maine.”

4. Passport quality photograph of yourself, in color and approximately 2″ x 2″. 

5. Copy of birth certificate, passport, or INS document. 

6. Proof of Knowledge of Handgun Safety — a copy of class certificate completed within the last 5 years (Your Maine Concealed certificate of completion). 

Once completed, all application packets should be sent to the Maine State Police Weapons and Professional Licensing Unit. 

COMPLETING THE RESIDENT APPLICATION PROCESS

You understand and agree that the Maine Concealed Certificate of Completion is not a license or permit to carry a concealed weapon. You understand Maine residents must apply to the Maine State Police and pay any applicable fee charged and satisfy all requirements to be issued a Maine concealed handgun permit. The Maine State Police require all residents to submit: 

1. Completed Concealed Handgun Permit application.

2. Completed Authority and Authorization to Release Information forms.

3. Money order or cashier’s check in the amount of either $35 (for new applicants) or $20 (for renewal applicants). Checks should be made payable to the “Treasurer, State of Maine.” 

4. Passport quality photograph of yourself, in color and approximately 2″ x 2″. 

5. Copy of birth certificate, passport, or INS document. 

6. Proof of Knowledge of Handgun Safety — a copy of class certificate completed within the last 5 years (Your Maine Concealed certificate of completion). 

Once completed, all application packets should be sent to the Maine State Police Weapons and Professional Licensing Unit. 

RECIPROCITY WITH OTHER STATES

Non-Residents

The Maine non-resident permit is available to U.S. citizens in all 50 states and allows you to carry concealed in the following 28 states:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa*, Kansas*, Kentucky*, Louisiana*, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska*, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma*, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

*These states require their residents to obtain their home state permit if they wish to carry concealed legally in their home state. Without your home state permit you can still travel legally concealed in the other 28 states.

Maine Residents

If you’re a Maine resident your permit will be honored in the following 30 states:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

*11 states require both Maine residents and non-residents to be at least 21 years of age to carry in their state: 

Arizona, Alaska, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Virginia, West Virginia

When traveling to other states, you must follow each individual state’s laws regarding concealed carry. We recommend finding the website of the issuing authority of each state’s concealed weapons permit to learn more about their concealed carry laws. COMPLETING THE COURSE

By taking the test for your Maine Concealed Certificate of Completion and submission of your passing score you are certifying you personally did take all sections of the training, and the test for a Maine Concealed Certificate of Completion. Without the aid of another, the score you earned is your true score. By clicking, “I agree,” you are further certifying you did watch and listen to the safety and familiarization video in its entirety.

YOUR AGREEMENT AND INTENT TO BE BOUND BY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS APPLIES TO ALL RECORDS RELATING TO ALL TRANSACTIONS YOU ENTER INTO ON THIS SITE. You understand and agree your electronic signature is binding.

PAYMENTS

You agree that you will pay for all products you purchase through MaineConcealed.com and that we may charge your payment method for any products purchased. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TIMELY PAYMENT OF FEES AND FOR PROVIDING MAINECONCEALED.COM A VALID PAYMENT METHOD FOR PAYMENT OF ALL FEES. All sales of products are final.

PRODUCT DELIVERY

Our certificate is delivered to the email address you provide during checkout. Failure to type in the correct email address does not constitute grounds for a refund. No attempt to request further copies of email does not constitute grounds for a refund. We do not know you didn’t receive your certificate if you do not contact us.

OUR GUARANTEE

We guarantee your Certificate of Completion will be accepted by the authority to which your application was submitted. In the event your application is denied due to the nature of our training, we will contact the issuing authority directly on your behalf. If we cannot resolve the issue, a full refund will be credited to the account used to purchase your Certificate of Completion. We will refund the amount paid to purchase your Certificate of Completion only. We will not refund any application fees paid to authority to which your application was submitted or any other expenses incurred during the application process. You agree that you have read and understand the conditions of our guarantee by clicking, “I agree.”

REFUND POLICY

A full refund of the cost of your Certificate of Completion will be issued to the account used to purchase your Certificate of Completion if an application is denied due to the nature of our training only. Must contact customer service for any refund request within 90 days of purchase. Refunds shall be requested by contacting our customer service via phone or email and customer MUST fill out the refund request form; which will be emailed to them after the refund is requested by the customer. All refunds render the certificate invalid. Any attempt to process an invalid certificate will constitute fraud, and will be prosecuted.

You may cancel a digital download order only if you have not yet accessed the download or we haven’t shipped the product.

DENIED APPLICATIONS

You agree that completing all requirements to obtain a Maine concealed handgun permit are your sole responsibility, and MaineConcealed.com will not be held liable for failures to meet all requirements that result in a denied application.

PRIVACY POLICY

American Concealed is a private, veteran owned business and we will never sell or share our customers’ data. We regularly delete our customer data base as allowed by law to keep our customers’ information safe.

American Concealed has never received any court order for any of our customers’ data, we will make it publicly know if any request or court order is made by any government agency.

Our customers’ privacy is one of our highest priorities.

WAIVER AND INDEMNITY

BY USING THE MAINECONCEALED.COM SERVICE, YOU AGREE, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD AMERICAN CONCEALED, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS HARMLESS WITH RESPECT TO ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF YOUR BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT, YOUR USE OF THE MAINECONCEALED.COM SERVICE, OR ANY ACTION TAKEN BY AMERICAN CONCEALED AS PART OF ITS INVESTIGATION OF A SUSPECTED VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT OR AS A RESULT OF ITS FINDING OR DECISION THAT A VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT HAS OCCURRED. THIS MEANS THAT YOU CANNOT SUE OR RECOVER ANY DAMANGES FROM AMERICAN CONCEALED, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS AS A RESULT OF ITS DECISION TO REMOVE OR REFUSE TO PROCESS ANY INFORMATION OR CONTENT, TO WARN YOU, TO SUSPEND OR TERMINATE YOUR ACCESS TO THE MAINECONCEALED.COM SERVICE, OR TO TAKE ANY OTHER ACTION DURING THE INVESTIGATION OF A SUSPECTED VIOLATION OR AS RESULT OF AMERICAN CONCEALED’S CONCLUSION THAT A VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT HAS OCCURRED. THIS WAIVER AND INDEMNITY PROVISIONS APPLIES TO ALL VIOLATIONS DESCRIBED IN OR CONTEMPLATED BY THIS AGREEMENT.
